My obsession with photography has been around for as long as I can remember. I can recall my dad showing me how to adjust my aperture and focus with his old Nikon F. He spent countless hours with me teaching me at such a young age (probably about 8) how to do all of these technical things with his camera. He would pull out boxes of old slides and prints that he had taken when he was young. I was absolutely enthralled about the stories he’d tell me about this photo or person or building.
The interest for me would come and go from the age of about 8 to 18. Between friends, school and boys my dad’s camera and eventually mine would drift in and out of my life.
Yearbook photos and family vacations was about all I shot. Eventually my best friends and I would goof off and she’d dress up and model, and I’d burn off 72 photos in an hour!
Fast forward to when I became a mom. I wanted to capture all of these memories before they passed by and were forgotten forever. However my Hubby and I couldn’t really afford a photo shoot every 6 months in the little town that we lived in. So I was determined. I wanted to make it so that the average family could afford beautiful photographs and memories.
Tens of thousands of photos and a few courses later I am able to achieve my goal of making memories last, one frame at a time!
I have photographed engagments to weddings, baby bumps and new borns... and everything inbetween (Including boudoir, sporting events and teams and homes for sale).
I use natural light and the ocasional fill flash for the most natrual results in your photos.
